UniversExplore is an educational astronomy application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we handle it.
UniversExplore does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
All your app data (preferences, quiz scores, favorites, reading progress) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not synced to any server.
The app connects to the internet solely to fetch publicly available astronomical data:
These requests do not include any personal information. They fetch publicly available scientific data only.
UniversExplore offers optional local push notifications (daily quiz reminders, streak alerts). These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app settings.
UniversExplore is an educational app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children or any other users. The app contains no social features, no chat, and no user-generated content sharing.
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. The only network connections are to public scientific data APIs as described in section 4.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data at risk. Your local app data is protected by your device's built-in security (device lock, encryption).
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
